Chhimkeshwori/Chhimkeshwari is situated in the northern region of Tanahun’s district, at the base of the Mahabharat range. This place is located at a height of 2134 meters above sea level. It is a village development committed which had a population of 1887 people and 356 separate households.
Chimkeshwari is a temple with great faith situated in Tanahun district, it is said that Manakamana Temple, Icchakamana Temple, and Chimekshwori are called sisters. The temple of Chimkeshwari Mai and BudhiKanya Devi Mai located on Chimkeshwari hill is important for both natural beauty and religious significance.
In regards to the mythical significance of the Chhimkeshwori temple, it used to be very holy, various deities asked for the sacrifice of water buffalo, pig, etc. There are actually five sister goddesses, Chimkeshwari is the eldest, and Tribeni is the Youngest.
This temple is crowded with worshippers twice a year during Fagu Purnima, and New Year.
