List of All Kings of Nepal- Shah Dynasty: Beautiful country Nepal is rich in unity, diversification, race, ethnicity, and many more. Somehow our all kings played a vital role in protecting our country and keeping it alive.

From 1768 to 2008, the Shah kings ruled all over Nepal. Although, there is a long history in Nepal since Shah’s kings. In the year 1768, the king’s system was introduced in Nepal but later on in the year 2008, the abolition of monarchy was dissolved by the 1st Constituent Assembly.

List of All Kings of Nepal- Shah Dynasty: The Shah dynasty ruled for 265 years.

In the year 1768 September 1, he established the Unified Kingdom of Gorkha and became the first king of the Gorkha Kingdom.  Similarly, the very first king of Nepal was Prithvi Narayan Shah, he was declared as the ruler of Gorkha.

The Shah dynasty is also known as the Shah of Gorkha and also the founder of Gorkha Kingdoms from 1559 to 1768 and later the unified Kingdom of Nepal from 1768 to 28 May 2008.

Similarly, Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev is a former monarch who was the last king of Nepal, reigning from 2001 to 2008. He was the first person in history who become king for the Two time and he was the last king of the Shah Dynasty of Nepal.

1. Prithvi Narayan Shah

Prithvi Narayan Shah was born on January 11, 1723, at Gorkha Palace. He was the first king of Nepal who ruled from 25 September 1768 till 11 January 1775. On January 11, 1775, he died at Devighat, Nuwakot on his birthday.

2. Pratap Singh Shah

Prata Singh Shah was born on 16 April 1751 in Gorkha, Nepal. He ruled from 11 January 1775 to 17 November 1777, ruled over 2 years and 310 days. On 17 November 1777  at the age of 26, he died because of tuberculosis in Kathmandu, Nepal.

3. Rana Bahadur Shah

Rana Bahadur Shah was born on 25 May 1775 in Basantapur Nepal. He ruled from 17 November 1777 to 8 March 1799, ruled over 21 years and 111 days. On 25 April 1806 at the age of 30, he died in Basantapur, Nepal.

4. Girvan Yuddha Bikram Shah

Girvan Yuddha Bikram Shah was born on 19 October 1797 in Basantapur, Nepal. He ruled from 8 March 1799 to 20 November 1816, ruled over 17 years, 257 days. On 20 November 1816 at the age of 19, he died in Basantapur, Nepal.

5. Rajendra Bikram Shah

Rajendra  bikram shah was born on 3 December 1813 Basantapur, Nepal. He ruled from 20 November 1816 to 12 May 1847, ruled over 30 years, 173 days. On 10 July 1881 at the age of 67, he died in Bhaktapur, Nepal.

6. Surendra Bikram Shah

Surendra Bikram shah was born on 20 October 1829 Basantapur, Nepal. He ruled from 12 May 1847 to 17 May 1881, ruled over 34 years, 5 days. On 17 May 1881 at the age of 51, he died in Basantapur, Nepal.

7. Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah

Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah was born on 18 August 1875 in Basantapur, Nepal. He ruled from 17 May 1881 to 11 December 1911, ruled over 30 years, 208 days. On 11 December 1911 at the age of 36, he died in Kathmandu, Nepal.

8. Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah (1st reign)

Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah was born on June 30, 1906. He ruled from 11 December 1911 to 11 December 1917 November 1950 for his first reign.

9. Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah

Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah was born on  July 7, 1947. He ruled from 7 November 1950 to 7 January 1951 for his first reign.

10. Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah

Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah was born on June 30, 1906. He ruled from 11 December 1911 to 11 December 1917 November 1950 for his first reign. Later he was king from 7 January 1951 to 13 March 1955 he then also ruled for 4 years, 65 days)

11. Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah

Mahendra Bikram Shah was born on June 11, 1920, in Kathmandu, Nepal. He ruled from 1955 to 1972, over 16 years, and 324 days. On January 31, 1972, in Bharatpur, Nepal he died.

12. Birendra Bir Bikram Shah

Birendra Bikram Shah was born on December 28, 1945, in Kathmandu, Nepal. He ruled from 31 January 1972 to 1 June 2001, over 29 years, and 121 days. On June 1, 2001,  1 June 2001 he died at the Narayanhiti Palace.

13. Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah

Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah was born on 27 June 1971 in Kathmandu, Nepal. He ruled from 1 June 2001 to 4 June 2001, over 3 days. On June 4, 2001, at the age of 29, he died at the Narayanhiti Palace.

14. Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah(2nd reign)

Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah was born on  July 7, 1947. He ruled from 7 November 1950 to 7 January 1951 for his first reign. For his second reign he was king on 4 June 2001 and deposed on 28 May 2008 he ruled for 6 years 359 days.
