Robin Tamang was a renowned Nepali singer, musician, actor, and also the founder of rock band Robin and The New Revolution. Being a well-known singer, Robin has also acted in many Nepali films like Chhadke 2.0 (2023), Chhadke (2013), and Naakaa (2017).

Robin Tamang was born on April 25, 1963, in Bukit Timah, Singapore. He was born into a family in the British Army. Robin was the youngest of five siblings born in Singapore. He was born to his father Keshav Tamang who was in the British Army, and his mother Saraswati Chhetri.
Robin completed his schooling in Singapore. Later, in the mid-1980s, he moved to Canada to attend college. Also, he has a degree in Engineering.

Robin Tamang was found dead at his home in Budhanilkantha on July 4, 2023, at the age of 60. The singer’s sister, Bhagwati Tamang stated that Robin was found dead inside his residence on Tuesday evening. As per the reports of postpartum, Robin suffered from a stroke, or heart attack.

Robin Tamang met Julia Helen, in Thamel, Kathmandu, a girl who came from France to visit Nepal. As Helen was interested in and loved music, Robin impressed Helen with his singing and musical skills. After five months of meeting, Robin and Helen got married, however, the details of their marriage date have not been disclosed.
Robin and Helen are the parents of two beautiful daughters, named Tara, and Jade. Both their daughters currently reside in France for their studies.
